4 has to be dark pewee [smoke coloured not there]
8 female yellow-crowned euphonia?
10 if this is glued to the side of a leaf [as I think] then perhaps this one is stripe-throated hermit
12 agree: flesh coloured bill means female red-capped; also 5 [looks same]
15 ? common pauraque [e.g. blackish throat]
16 Why not house wren?
17 female black-crowned antshrike
18 assuming that is the tip of the beak above the branch, then strong-billed woodcreeper.
19 looks same as 18
20 suggest tawny-winged woodcreeper

Suspect this is the other way around: compare bills, head patterns, and to a degree colours. So I think it's 18-19 is one, 20 another. But either way you've got the suggested IDs—you can mix and match...

#1-#3: great! I have fought a lot to get pictures of this bird constantly jumping around so I am so happy to get an ID for it!

#4: I was a bit afraid to suggest Dark Pewee, as I thought it's just bad light ... but yeah it makes sense!

#8: I basically forgot Euphonias exist after not seeing any obvious ones on this trip, this makes a lot of sense! Interestingy, the females of Yellow-crowned seem rather clear to ID, so it's good enough for a lifer.

#9: sorry, not sure how I missed it's a Bananaquit, shouldn't have put it here

#10: is the nest IDable to species enough to count? Because hat would be great

#12: wow a Manakin! Aaah, Red-capped, the only one we already have ... Still cool.

#13: yeah probably a seedeater ....

#15: since all other nightjars we have seen during the trip (and there was a lot of them) were Pauraques, it's the most likely anyway, this one is just a worse photo, so it was not immediately clear to me

#16: can be House Wren, I just find it hard to tell

#17: really?! That's not a flycatcher? I have found a clearer picture for checking ...

#18: the thing across the branch probably isn't the bill - but I have no pictures of the bird that would actually show the bill, so it will probably remain a mystery. Strong-billed is way out of range in Carara (Pacific coast) anyway.

#19-#20: I am absolutely sure #19 and #20 are the same bird. The uncropped pictures show that it's the exact same spot and they are only 3 seconds from each other. That's why I included the very blurry #20, because it shows the bill at least somehow, which #19 doesn't - but then the Tawny-winged Woodcreeper ID is really good for these two!

Surely not? - spotted crown, plain upper tail, pointed-looking tail-feathers, big grippy feet. More like some small woodcreeperish thing.

Okay people, there is a problem: birdforum decided to show the photos in a slightly different order than I have numbered them - 16 and 18 are now switched - and I would swear it was not showing like that yesterday! So now there is a possibility that some of you are referring to the order in the post and some of you refer to the number I added in front of the filename. So just to make sure we do not devolve into complete chaos, I suggest we stick to the filenames (as I did always in my posts) - #16 is thus a bird against the sky on a wooden pole and #18 is a woodcreeper on a vertical trunk with foliage in the background.

Def a Wren IMHO, doesn't look at all right for a Woodcreeper to me, look at the pale, streaked cheeks and where are you seeing 'big, grippy feet', are we all looking at the right shot?

Rather suspect you refer to images labelled 19 and 20, not 16?

No, not that either. In fact to the sequential-no. 16 = label-no. 18.
How dreadfully confusing it is to use label numbers for reference, when the only single universal way to way to refer to multiple photos is to notionally number them in the order in which they appear as posted. Oh dear.
