I pre-ordered the Illustrated Checklist of the Mammals of the World, but considering to skip this series. Lynx really want to empty our wallets this year

Agree,
really pulling this work in every direction to maximise the income from the main set.

Re splits, haven't had chance to look at the book properly yet, did you manage to download the list?

Yes, it is coping the 9 volumes. One of the editors of the new Full Checklist on the other side, Connor J Burgin is also author of this article, published 2 years ago https://academic.oup.com/jmammal/article/99/1/1/4834091. They summarize all the new splits for the last 10 years. There are even more species recognized in the new Checklist.

'All the Birds of the World' looks to be an amazing prospect. Over 20,000 illustrations and 11.000 maps for 65 Euros. A fair size though at 4.5 kg.
