Hello together,

how is birdwatching in and around Madeira end of March ?
How is about pelagic birds in this time ?

Best regards
Dieter

Dear Dieter,

Historical data on what to expect when birding in Madeira in march can be found here:

http://www.madeirabirds.com/
http://madeira.seawatching.net/recent.html

There is scant information about seawatching in march/april:

http://s3.trektellen.nl/trektelling.asp?telpost=338&site=0&land=6&taal=2&datum=20140328

(I am highly skeptical concerning those Balearics but march/april is probably the best period for Barolo).

I know of only 1 pelagic before the 20’th of april: 01-04-2011 with sightings of Gannet, Manx, Sooty, Cory´s and Bonxie.

Enjoy, Michel

Dear Michel,

thank You very much, this are excellent pages.
Maybe I will go there later a year.
In May also many wild flowers should be on Madeira.

Best regards
Dieter

Help gratefully received. In Madeira at moment. Would love to see Bertholet Pipit. Wife won't go to San Laurenco or anywhere high inland. Are there any in touristy area around Funchal or Gsdarajau? Thanks Mike
