Madeiran storm-petrel's in Madeira (1 Viewer)

Dear all

I'm hopefully going to Madeira in early August, and have a few target birds, namely, Madeiran Firecrest, Trocaz Pigeon (both of which seem straightforward enough), Zino's Petrel (I'll need a guide) and Madeiran storm-petrel. That seems to be the tricky one for some reason. Pelagics don't seem reliable, and since I'm just going for 1 week, a trip to the Salvage Islands is out of the question.

Have any birders seen this species whilst staying on Madeira?

Birdwatching I did in Madeira

This year I enjoyed Madeira in July. All my trips I arranged online from Madeira Wind Birds, local guides.
For the Zino's Petrel I joined a Night Expedition, lost of calls around 400.

Madeira Firecrest and Trocaz I did a full day birdwatching. And finally for the Madeira Storm Petrel (2 birds), Fea's or Zino's (8 birds) near Desertas Islands, for this I did a day cruise in their boat.

My contact in Madeira is Hugo, I also met the rest of the team in this year Bird Fair.

In August there should be birds coming ashore at night to the nesting area below the enormous statue of Christ east of Funchal. But I never saw any when I looked for them a few years ago.
