Hi there,
I have a big garden & lots of birds flying around. Have a family of 5 Magpies. 3 half grown little uns this year! My question is - the mum had a tiny mark on her head last year which I thought was just a bit with no hair and maybe age. Over the last couple of weeks it’s progressed to 2 now this morning there are 4-5 with one being quite scabby. She doesn’t look good but is eating & very friendly still. Any ideas? A fight, a disease?? Thanks Jules

Hi Jules and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. Australian Magpie, as I don't think the Eurasian one has been introduced to Australia? If you can get a picture of the problem, it would probably be worth while speaking to one of your wildlife rescue groups, or maybe a local vet will advise.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.
