Merganser (1 Viewer)

Hello

Today I saw this bird in Northern Poland, but in fresh water area.. I would expect it's a Red Breasted Merganser, but first of all they usually only stay along the beach and usually never in fresh water around here at least and they usually leave in end March/start April..

Can anyone confirm what it is?

Hi. By the length/shape of the bill, white markings on the sides (line of spots etc) and small head, it looks OK to me.
