Here´s a highly likely, plausible addition on …

ezrai as in:
• the subspecies subspecies Aethopyga nipalensis ezrai DELACOUR 1926 (here) as ”Æthopyga ezrai”
= the British aviculturalist Alfred Aaron Ezra (1872–1955), OBE, Member of the Zoological Society of London (since 1909), MBOU, President of the Avicultural Society for thirty years, who had a Private Zoo, Foxwarren Park, in Cobham, etc., etc..

See his Obituary in the Ibis (by the same Delacour, 1956) where the quote below is found:

Alfred Ezra [… ] He passed away at his home in Foxwarren Park, Surrey, on 1 August 1955, at the age of 82 after a long illness. … [… ] Alfred Ezra was born in India in 1872, ...

Apparently he was born in Poona (Pune), India, in 1872 … not in 1873 as is often claimed.

PS. His wife Muriel Helene Ezra (born 1897), née Sassoon, is commemorated in the subspecies Treron sieboldii murielae DELACOUR 1927 (here) as ”Sphenurus sieboldi murielae”. She later remarried, in Middlesex, and became Mrs. Paul Wallraf.

Is anyone here who can confirm that the D. in Ezras name (Alfred Aaron D. Ezra) stands for David? His father's name was Elias David. And his brothers's name was David Elias. And another thing that I haven't found was the exact date of his birth whereas the biographical data of David Elias Ezra were much easier to research.

According here Muriel Helene Ezra (Sassoon) (1897-1979).

The Eponym Dictionary of Birds claims:

White-bellied Green Pigeon Treron sieboldii murielae Delacour, 1927
Mrs Muriel Helene Ezra née Sassoon (b.1897) was the wife of Alfred Aaron D. Ezra (q.v.).

If there is really a name with D. in her husbands name is unknown to me. But if David may make sense.
