Kind of a silly question, but I was trying to figure out what the national bird of Mexico is. Most of the websites state it is the Crested Caracara, while a few others, notably a National Geographic site, state that it is the Golden Eagle. I even tried the Mexican Embassy in Washington, but they had no idea. . . .
I know the flag portrays a Golden eating a snake, but so many sites mention the Caracara (or what some call the Mexican Eagle. . . .).
