Amongst circa a dozen moths on the wall tonight, this fellow has me confused 4cm across.
Am now wondering Brindled Beauty?

Cheers

The nearest that I can get to this is Black Geometrid (Melanodes anthrocitaria) ?

This is a “Down Under” species, the larvae of which feed on Eucalyptus!
The BG’s appear to have a scalloped edge to the wing, the subject moth doesn’t appear to have this?
However males of the species are correct for size 4cm.

Dunno…..

Possibly a Pale Brindled Beauty??
I thought size and bigger rounder head were not good for PBB rosaria?
Here’s another image for size, don’t know if this helps or hinders?

Cheers
