New Binocular Bargains Thread (2 Viewers)

That’s a great deal on the kowa 8x22. These have a nice FOV and view like a bigger binocular for their little size.
I received my pair and they were in immaculate condition, great design and real leather. Unfortunately, I had to return them because the focuser made a spring-like sound/friction in one direction. This went away after several spins but then the tension/torque to spin the focuser in either direction was far apart.

Build quality otherwise looked immaculate and the views were quite nice. Surprisingly, the FOV did not really seem as wide as I had expected, otherwise I would have reordered a pair.

Side by side with Swarovski 8x25 CL (2014 version, not current), I found it to be a little dimmer and little to no wider on the FOV.

If I didn't already have the CL, I probably would have kept it and warrantied it or exchanged it for another.

Not a bargain but a rarity, the blue "Marine" BA 7x42. You would have to ask whether it's really the whole "set" including orange flotation strap and blue case. The strap shown in the default photo is actually a Leica camera strap.
That looks pretty cool, actually. No idea on the price. I also did not know B&H sold older binoculars, but just ordered up some Zeiss Victory FL 7x42 from them.

Nice finds, they have quite a few used binoculars at the moment.

This one caught my eye, the night green leather Retrovid 8x40. They are listed as Uppendahl prisms. I guess that would be an error, or maybe they used them in the Life edition?

Or maybe all the 8x40 Retrovids have them? Hmmm...

Crazy green yet I kind of like them, but not the price.

No word of Uppendahl prisms like B&H had, but there comments on waterproofness caught my eye. Sounds like Leica's original description that left buyers worried about Retrovids in the wet might have been a bit too conservative.

"...Leica Trinovid binoculars are robust, waterproofed against spray and rain and ready to face every challenge in even the harshest conditions."

Canon 10x30 IS II Compact Lightweight Travel Binoculars on Amazon UK Prime at £299.99.

Better be quick........

Also the Canon 12x36 IS III for £599.

My wife has the 10x and they are excellent, I think the 12x may just fall into my basket.

Here is a used Zeiss CHDX 8x42 for $788.49 on eBay from a good seller. Try the new HDX for a good discount!
