Northern Namibia-Ondangwa- Confirms (1 Viewer)

Hopefully these should be some easy confirms:

Taken in the early morning last week in Ondangwa, Namibia.

1. Whydah sp?
2. Just a HOSP?
3. Cattle Egret? (more photos available of this one)

1) certainly looks like female/non-breeding whydah. You could help us by adjusting the picture...

2)/3) looks like house sparrow

4) cattle egret
 
Agree Vidua. Possibly non br female Pin-tailed Whydah, going by the median coverts. AFAIK (SASOL) other options geographically, only Shaft-tailed (Queen) Whydah and Long-tailed Whydah, unless newer info is out there. The Pin-tailed bill goes lighter in Winter (southern), the others stay red or black and is the only one with white in the median coverts, I think.
