The thing with Adder is afaik they don't lay eggs, they give birth to live young.

Common Lizard is surely there, we have them in St Petersburg and it's further North than Aberdeenshire. They can either lay eggs or bare live young depending on environment. Can't remember if it's Northerly or Southerly animals that lay eggs?

Checked up, to my surprise, it does occur there - I'd assumed Aberdeens summers would be too cold (oceanic climate, so colder summers than St Petersburg's continental summers).

Very interesting! I had no idea what was behind the name "Oak Eggar", now it all makes sense! :t::t:B
