Reptilian eggcase? Not sure what is up there in the area, if anything likely.

Presumably Adder would be the only reptile in the region?

Common Lizard is surely there, we have them in St Petersburg and it's further North than Aberdeenshire. They can either lay eggs or bare live young depending on environment. Can't remember if it's Northerly or Southerly animals that lay eggs?

Checked up, to my surprise, it does occur there - I'd assumed Aberdeens summers would be too cold (oceanic climate, so colder summers than St Petersburg's continental summers).
