On listening to the news on radio today
A report from the Arctic far away
That starving polar bears are killing and eating their own kind
Since seals due to thinning ice for them are hard to find
When Global Warming melts the ice caps of the Arctic shore
The great white bear of the north will be no more
And sad am I so very sad to say
That on Climate Change us humans have some part to play
For Mother Nature on our existence we depend
But to her our kind not a faithful friend
The burning of fossil fuels and carbon emissions on the natural environment taking toll
And the ice meltdown at the South and the North Pole
Is putting pressure on life forms including us humans everywhere
And what hope now for the great white ice bear?
