Hi

Have decided as the kids are away for a week on a school trip we would take advantage and have a few days away ourselves in the Peak District.
Never been before so was wondering if anyone could give some advice on good sites to visit for birding and especially for photographing birds?
We are from sussex so any good sites for photographing birds we do not get down here (eg Red Grouse) would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Glenn

Where are you staying in the high peak? The road from Buxton to Macclesfield can be good for red grouse. The goyt valley can offer pied flycatchers and redstarts, common sandpipers. Carsington Water can be good for a lot of water birds.
