Photoshop Elements query (1 Viewer)

Could anyone tell me how you draw circles (border only i.e. like a giant letter 'O') in Photoshop Elements 7.

I can draw an all black circle using the ellipse tool, but I need a circle with the border only.

Thanks in advance.

In Elements 6, I can right click on the ellipse, choose "Stroke (outline) selection" and try the options. Hopefully there's something similar in 7.

Many thanks for that quango27 - I can make a circle with a border by making a selection using the elliptical marquee tool then going to Edit -> Stroke Selection. Problem is with using the elliptical marquee tool though is that you are not making a perfect circle - it generally ends up being a bit skewed.

How can I make a perfect circle shape (as you can with ellipse tool)?

Many thanks

Hi, Ross.

If you hold down the shift key while using the elliptical marquee tool, you should get a perfect circle. Then go to edit -> stroke selection to choose border width and colour etc.
