Dr Johann Philipp Achilles Leisler (1771-1813) German physician, naturalist (syn. Somateria mollissima).

No bird but a bat.

leisleri: Eponym after Johann Philipp Achilles Leisler (b. 1772–d. 1813), a German physician and naturalist (-i, commemorating (dedication, eponym) (L.)).

Way back in 2013 I contacted the Stadtarchiv Hanau as it was not clear to me if 1771 or 1772 was the birth of Leissler. They answered:
Johann Philipp Leisler wurde nicht 1771 sondern am 1.8.1772 in Hanau geboren. Der dritte Vorname Achilles ist weder in seinem Tauf- noch in seinem Sterbeeintrag eingetragen. In den Taufeinträgen seiner Kinder wird er dagegen Johann Philipp Achilles genannt.

So he was born. 1. August 1772 in Hanau. Achilles can't be found as name in birth or death reccord. Nevertheless this additional name can be found in the birth records of his children.
