Hi

Yesterday in Portugal. I saw a wagtail, never seen one of this type before. It was a larger wagtail than a white one, had a very long tail with a white spot on the end, had yellow on the body and a browny/red bib. I reached for my camera but it had gone, so no picture.

sounds like grey wagtail (Motacilla cinerea).

Thanks Lou. I have looked at all the pictures I can find on the web of your mentioned bird but none seem to have the colour of rusty/red on the bib that I saw, so not sure.
