Plover and Something Else? at Cupwith Res, West Yorkshire, UK (4 Viewers)

Hi all, I know the second of these is definitely a ringed or little ringed plover - I'm leaning towards little ringed, despite no real clarity of the eye ring, but I can't see any orange on the beak, but then again, all the different plumages!😵 I know the first bird is harder to make out, apologies, but any ideas would be welcome, thanks!

Hello Hettie,

yes its a Little Ringed Plover for me too. Slender all-black bill and visible corner at the lower ear-coverts are good for this as is just guessable yellow eye-ring.
Second bird is a Common Sandpiper. The distinct white triangle in the dark breast patch is there.
