Question for the experts about noisy sparrows (1 Viewer)

Hi all.
Registered to ask the knowledgable experts here. Thanks in advance.
About 3 weeks ago a sparrow in a garden close to us started making constant loud chirping sounds starting at 5.30am. He keeps it up almost all day until late in the evening. It’s amazing that such a tiny creature has the energy to do this. The all pervasive noise is really unpleasant for us now. Is there anything to be done about this? How long do you think this will last for? I can’t believe that one small bird can be so loud.

Welcome to Birdforum. I hope you enjoy your visits.

For their size, birds can be amazingly loud! Sparrows make different calls for different scenarios - alarm calls, territorial calls, courtship calls, juvenile calls for food. There is nothing you can or should do. Just enjoy having a sparrow - as Pete says there is a decline.
