Woodford, County Girls School area North London, four inches of snow and at least 100 redwing, and some 10 fieldfare. Quite a sight seeing them all take off and circle round.
Stripped our holly of berries.

Had quite a few Fieldfares over here across the border in Norfolk but no Redwings ..alas. But plenty of mixed flocks, twite and redpoll, siskins etc with a couple of Brambling. Makes up for it a leetle beet!

Have seen far more fieldfares than usual today in trees on the sides of the roads, one would assume this is because they are having trouble finding food from their usual spots.

Yes, along with the snow fall came Fieldfares flying over roads and gardens in north Colchester. As for Redwings, they've been around the trees in my garden for the previous three or four weeks - often around 12-15 at a time. Rather poor photo attached.

Strangely, never seen them here before. But. Had 10 redwings fly the garden and stay around for 30-45 minutes before leaving. Good garden tick. Cold weather has moved things around.
