Please may I ask advice. I am not good with gulls.
Looking through some old phots I revisited some of a Gull sp. taken. I previously wondered whether it was Caspian Gull but never managed to arrive at a conclusion, in spite of some helpful suggestions here on Birdforum at the time.
Just now, I have seen a BF thread in which Butty identifies a gull as a Pallas's Gull.
www.birdforum.net
It struck me that the gull in that thread seems similar to my gull from Romania. Actually one definite Pallas's Gull (adult) was spotted that day, although no photo of that one was obtained. So that species was around in that region for a certainty.
If anyone can advise about this please I would be most grateful
Best wishes

Four birds from Kuhistoni Badakhshan, Tajikistan
Rather than making separate threads, I'll combine these four into one post. Bird 1, some kind of lark, was singing from low perches in dry gravelly patches in the floodplain by Murghob. Bird 2 seems like a rosefinch, but I'm not sure if it's a Common or something else. Bird 3, another lark...
