Sale of Snettisham Coastal Park & coast to Heacham (1 Viewer)

Featured in the Eastern Daily Press today 14 April (but not on the EDP24 website) is an article under Michael Pollitt's signature about a long stretch of Norfolk's Wash coastline for sale in one or three lots. Actually, it's an advert by the estate agents Brown and Co. The text makes all the right noises about the need to continue environmental protection, but it's always worth keeping such matters in the limelight. See: http://www.brown-co.com/full-details?profileID=100005003008.

This area is often superb for migrant passerines, but offers good birding (in association with RSPB Snettisham that takes up the southern coast beyond the Snettisham cottage/caravan complex) year-round.

This comes at a time when a much shorter stretch on the North Norfolk coast, between Cley and Salthouse, has been advertised for sale, this land seemingly being offered for shooting rights.

Having spoken with Brown & Co the current owner is selling at least with protection against wind turbine development. The lady at Brown & Co did say there was no planning permission attached to the sale.

Once a bird lover ... always a bird lover
Pleased to hear that there is no undercurrent of any 'untoward' agendas about the sale of Snettisham

Love Snettisham coast, and all other areas attached - and let it be the best for birds as it has always has been. :t:
