Oh dear - my apologies, i didn't mention Pheasant in the nothing to add post as it's an introduction and i didn't consider it:C I had a single male in the paddocks adjacent to the Priory thing as i had one last look before departing for Suki's...

Well with the late addition of Pheasant the all dayer tally jumps to 85 a new Valley record

Sorry about that, Dave, on my own day tally i did'nt put down (or count) either the Greylag on the island, Canada Goose or the Ring-Necked Parakeet that i had calling but as they are obviously on the SV tally i appeared to have made my visit worthwhile by contributing a record;)

All good fun, a bit later next year will achieve a better result and i look forward to bumping into a few more 'faces' as i intend to visit the place (by car) a lot more frequently from now on.....

Great stuff Laurie our paths will cross at some time this year I'm sure thanks for your input and texts on the day. Dave

Late news yesterday Shoveler x2, Teal x2, Little Ringed Plover x4, Oystercatcher x2, Pochard x1 male and Goosander x1 male per Pete Carless
Good Birding YAMYAM

Pete Carless aka Pete the Snipe is having a rough time of it at the moment he has already been in Hospital a couple of weeks ago and has not long ago informed me he will have to go in again shortly for a further investigation. This just a note basically to say myself and many other Valley regulars are all wishing him all the best and we know he can beat this. Dave

Can only reiterate your comments about Pete Carless & wish him good health & a speedy recovery. Top bloke.

I reckon that’s it now no more to add so we beat last years all Dayer total by eleven species. (74 spring 2014, 85 this year) We had twelve birds not seen last year: - Greylag, Shoveler, Teal, Pochard, Goosander, Snipe, Jack Snipe, Common Gull, Grasshopper Warbler, Meadow pipit, Willow Tit and Raven. We had one bird on the all dayer in Spring 2014 that we didn’t connect with this year being Yellow Wagtail.

Excellent - well worth the 4 1/2 hours in the field, 4/2 hours travelling from Stourbridge->Dudley->West Brom and back (there is NO scenic route) plus the hour B :) @ Sookies:eek!: To add an introduced Oriental game-bird to the days total;)

could someone please send me a full list of the all dayer species seen at all venues as I am having problems opening the files from Phil Andrews
