Male redstart

County news
Stonking male redstart/ bourn brook walkway.
The the reedbeds on the new bypass A38 beside Q.E hospital.
Watched at 1pm for 30mins and was still there when i left.
 
Good mooch around Sandwell Valley this morning. 50 species, but nothing of any great interest beyond what's already been reported for today.

Two Common Sandpiper on the gull rail at the south end of Swan Pool around 10am. LBBGs weren't happy about this but they took some shifting.

4 x Whitethroat, Green Woodpecker and Stock Dove around horse paddocks north of Salters Lane.

1 x LRP and 2 x Common Sandpiper from hide.
