Scoters at Sandwich, Cape Cod (1 Viewer)

I was at Sandwich Beach yesterday across from the boardwalk (4/9/22), around 2pm. We saw common eiders, a common loon, red breasted mergansers, great black backed and herring gulls, double crested cormorants.

We also saw scoters but I couldn’t tell from our distance whether they were black or white-winged. Are one of these two species particularly more common here?

All three scoter species have been seen in the area recently. Surf Scoter may be slightly more common, but not enough to eliminate the others from consideration.
