Hi Everyone,
I'm struggling to ID the migrating shorebird in the following photos. It was in a muddy, flooded field with LEYLand LESA. The first one shows the bird on its own, and the second shows it in comparison with a lesser Yellowlegs.
I thought it was a short billed dowitcher (relative shape, sewing machine type feeding and other persons observations) but I thought the beak looked a bit too short.
Can any one help with the ID?
many thanks,
Carl
