Spring in Cyprus (1 Viewer)

Unusual number of Hoopoe sightings within a radius of c0.5KM of the house, including this one which is currently, as I write, still in our garden. Is it the same bird I first saw a few weeks ago which is still hanging around?

Seems to have some kind of man made fibre around it's toes.

Same Hoopoe and a Cyprus Rock Agama, sitting in the sun on the same tree.

A few Xmas’s ago on Fuerteventura in the grounds of the Sheraton Hotel (undulating manicured lawns), I counted 38 Hoopoes (perhaps a 60x40m area) my visit two weeks ago revealed none! 😮
