Anyone got any opinions on this scope?
Seems to tick all the boxes for a price of only £320 new.
This would be my first scope.

Bought one a couple of weeks ago. A very very decent scope. Hope to try it with a baader hyperion eyepiece someday....

Remade Meade 128 barlow 3x, got not too bad results with sv 406 ed scope - some 2.5x. Want more fov with low magnifications. Know 6mm, 9mm work somehow, sv190 18mm uff nicely. Someone had any experience with another svbony swa eyepieces? For example sv154 15mm, sv190 uf 10mm, sv136 9mm?

SV190 10mm UFF - I have it, works fine but redundant as the included zoom performs well at 10mm.

SV154 15mm - AliExpress customer review states that it does not come to focus.

SV136 9mm - I have not tried it but stated eye relief is 10mm, beware.

SV152 20mm reticle eyepiece - I bought it, would not focus to infinity, returned.

9mm Redline - I have it, works well. Sharp and wide (70 deg FOV). Nice with screw-on barlow in 1.5x mode for 6mm. However, has SAEP/kidney beans so requires careful eye placement at night, and unusable in day time.

4mm TMB clone - I have it, 108x is shaky on my tripod. Day use OK, good closeups of birds and insects. Night use only OK on Saturn, not nice on Jupiter, not impressive on stars.

Thanks very much for reply

i also have the 9mm redline. good enough eye relief for eye glass wearers like me. sharp image and nice 70 field of view. unfortunately the kidney bean issue is there and as i use my scope for (daytime) birding, it is somewhat frustrating to use...but for the price ....

Well, i had to return the 9mm redline. the kidney bean issue was just too frustrating. So, in spending more time with the supplied zoom eyepiece, i am actually impressed. even at 60x i can see full image while wearing glasses. and the image quality at 60 is very acceptable. overall, continue to be very pleased with this scope. (until, unless Santa brings that Harpia ..hint to spouse...)

Not quite the Vanguard Endeavor HD 82A, but the 65A is mentioned in this post: Svbony 406P/46P 80mm spotters anyone?.
Yes I had the Vanguard 65A scope before, it was really bad and I returned it to Amazon. Focus knob wasnt smooth, optical quality is bad in terms of contrast and sharpness. Half the scope is painted metal which is bound to get scratched over time. The Svbony is much better, plus the eyepiece is interchangeable.

Anyone know if the Baader zoom Mark IV is good for this scope?
From this thread:

It seems like it may not focus out of the box.

Hello,
Two days ago I received the long-awaited terrestrial telescope.
I was able to do some tests, very quickly due to late hours in the afternoon and due to high cloudiness. At night I did a quick startest..
I liked the lightness of the telescope, and its no AC... in daytime images, which is appreciated, it supposedly has an ED lens. The image is very defined in the upper half but in the lower half it loses definition...!!!
I did not like the very little depth of focus that it presents, it is not easy to obtain the perfect focus even with the double control, too soft for my taste... I did not find it especially a luminous telescope, compared to an achromatic Celestron Trailseeker 80mm I don't know what type of coating the Svbony 80mm has...!!
I also say that the day was not good!
The ring that holds the zoom eyepiece must be tightened a lot so that the zoom does not turn... a lot is not exaggerated!!
At night I first notice an external luminous ring in the image at 20x, then at higher power it fades, I saw this some time ago in another different telescope, the Vanguard, the field is very narrow at 20x, rather the sensation is tunnel vision at 20x, at more x that sensation disappears.
I did the star test on some stars and the image in focus shows a great load of astigmatism... out of focus it presents an oval image, crushed in 50% of the image...!!
I have to keep testing the telescope, to see if I'm lucky and I have a sunny day
Thanks.
PP.
