I hope someone can help me out on this ID.
There have been numerous reports of a Bicknell's thrush, hanging out with a bunch of Swainson's thrushes, in Prospect Park in Brooklyn for the past week. I went there yesterday and definitely heard the call of a Bicknell's thrush several times. In a shady forested area, there were several thrushes, with all field marks for Swainson's, that were fairly skittish. After playing the call of a Bicknell's thrush a few times on my phone, though, one of the thrushes actually approached and was peering at me.
The problem is, I'm not sure it's a Bicknell's. Can anybody chime in on yea / nay? The eyering looks a little too prominent; I think it might be a Swainson's that just got curious about the odd bird call.
Thanks in advance
