Alright, time to start up my Maryland list for my third full year of birding! I have twins (!) coming in a couple of weeks, so this might be a slower year for birding. Still, I think a solid list is attainable, with many good birds to show for it.

1) Northern Cardinal (Very first bird of the year)

4) Brown Creeper (nice bird for my first few minutes of birding)

Woodlot/Drainage Pond across street from Home
7) Tufted Titmouse
8) White-Breasted Nuthatch

Dover Road, Reisterstown
10) Red-Headed Woodpecker (start the year's woodpeckers with the rarest for the state!)
Pine Ridge Golf Course
I chose this spot as the main spot to fill in birds for my year list, and it paid off well.

15) Ring-Necked Duck
16) Bufflehead
17) Hooded Merganser

LIFER (has been visiting the Park and Ride for almost two weeks - an extraordinary bird for Maryland in the winter. There has also been a Nashville Warbler at the same spot, but couldn't find it while I was there.
