I took a picture of this bird of prey at the end of January this year in Taman Negara. I think it’s a sparrowhawk is it a Japanese sparrow hawk or a European?

It's hard to tell but it looks like it might have yellow eyes, or there could be a yellow eye-ring, or both. By the way, adult Japanese has dark eyes, juvenile (which this seems to be) yellow.
