Tree Sparrow calls? W Yorks moors, Sep (1 Viewer)

For the sake of my patch list, is it safe to say that this a Tree Sparrow? I wasn't by my recorder at the time, so neither saw nor heard the bird in real life.

Alternatively, any ideas about what else it could be?

Cheers,

David

Sounds more like House Sparrow to me, certainly no "stand out" Tree Sparrow noises in the mix imho.

Thanks Mark. As it happens, House would be an equally welcome first record for the site. The fact that Tree is occasionally recorded on Pennine visible migration watches leads me to think it's the more likely of the two, but I suppose it's going to have to be left as sparrow sp. Cheers.
