UK Sussex - Raptor Tail Feather (1 Viewer)

UK Sussex - Bird of Prey

Found today in Sussex, it's 8 inches long tip to tip and very red which is confusing me greatly as the buzzard images I've seen are very brown.

I can only find a really good match with the American Red Tail Hawk which is a buzzard/Buteo anyway right? Or no?!

Sorted! It's the tail feather 1 from a Common Buzzard/Buteo buteo.

Good result!

Some UK falconers keep captive Red-tailed Hawks (some of which escape, too), but the chances of coming across a feather from one of those must be very low.
