Please could someone help me out with an ID for this bird of prey I saw yesterday on the Isle of Wight? Sorry for picture quality - taken through binoculars!
Didn’t seem big enough to be a buzzard but I may be mistaken!

Indeed - I just wasn’t sure what else I should be looking for to ID it!

Thank you! Are there any particular markers that give it away as a buzzard so I know for next time?

Rounded head, rather short stubby neat bill, short tail, stocky body. Rather anonymous in structure and plumage - which gives it its own distinctiveness!

See picture 2, the friendly face: rounded head, eye and bill show some resemblance with a (shell) parakeet.
