Unknown call - Switzerland (1 Viewer)

Hello,

Someone shared with me a recording done in Canton Geneva, Switzerland, a few days ago. Apparently, the call came from a rapeseed field. I never heard a bird calling like that, and I am even skeptical that this call is indeed emitted by a bird. However, the recorder is confident that it was a bird, because the emission frequency was irregular.

What do you think?

That doesn't sound like a natural sound at all... Yes, several bird species are well capable of imitating artificial sounds but in this case the volume etc does seem to be just wrong. Maybe it was a device for the acoustical deterrence of pests?
