Unsure of the current status of Bright Babul Blue on Fuertaventura? (1 Viewer)

Had one at Caleta del Fuste on Saturday, from what I can glean on the web, the last recorded one was at Puerto del Rosario in 2019, thought it might be worth a head up?

Cheers

The Desert Babul Blues, aka Bright Babul Blues, are very underrecorded I believe on the Canaries. Can't speak for recent years on Fuerteventura, but on Gran Canaria for example, despite the rarity of records and some reports of them being difficult to find, I have found them in good numbers with ease in the acacia gullies in the south of the island.

Yes, I suspect most “scarce” species found on these Atlantic islands, are due mostly to
being under-recorded, which I’ve highlighted in recent years with my trip reports and will be adding to in my latest report yet to be published. 👍
