Unusual heron (2 Viewers)

Hello! I’ve just joined as someone recommended I post this on here.

I just spotted this heron in my garden as I sat in my living room, our pond had obviously caught its eye!
I assumed it was a grey heron, but it’s very very dark and doesn’t look right. Mellanistic?

Please excuse the messy garden 😆
