Vesper Sparrow, (Montreal) Canada (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I think I heard a Vesper Sparrow today in Montreal (Quebec, Canada). It's an uncommon bird in this region, but it's a good moment now to see them. I hesitate a lot with a Song Sparrow (really common and massively present now in Montreal).

So, what do you hear in the attached file ? Sorry for the bad quality.

I think the pattern fits Vesper over Song. Very clear, sweet introductory notes followed by a short trill, with distinct buzzy quality to the end phrases.

Vesper's song is less variable than Song Sparrow, I think.

Yes, Vesper Sparrow. More often seen on cultivated fields aroud the city.
