Wader in Spain (1 Viewer)

It's not a great photo I agree, and my first impression was green sandpiper. However, I do see a pale supercilium which extends behind the eye. I also see a "cap" (defined by the supercilium) which I associate with wood. Although the spangles aren't very clear, I think that's a photo issue: we can see enough in the mantle for it to look different to the darker, more uniform green sand. The bird's neck is also covered in diffuse streaking which is unlike green sand (again normally +/- uniform—a bit like common sand)
