the Bavarian Birder
Hey there,

seen these two sandpipers in November. I was thinking about Baird's for both of them. What do you guys think?

#1 Lagoon at Antisana national park (Andes) at around 3000 m asl
#2 Salt lakes in eastern Santa Cruz, Galapagos islands

Hey there,

#2 Salt lakes in eastern Santa Cruz, Galapagos islands
#1 is indeed a Baird's but # 2 looks like a Least
 
It's much better to post the actual photos rather than photos of photos on a small screen.
1. Looks OK - eg long wings clearly visible, bill-llength/shape, dark-looking legs.
2. Yellowy-looking legs and bill-shape suggest least sandpiper - though bill does look rather big. Not clear how long the wings are.
