Curlew Sandpiper (Calidris ferruginea)

If you have an eBird account, please enter your lists with as precise locality as possible (fortunately eBird maps tend to have IBA areas and individual lakes already marked) so maps will show accurate distribution of species during the migration season.
 
The black belly is diagnostic and it is just coming through as it moults to summer plumage where it is obviously black. The bill can be quite variable and confusingly long on some birds.(for me anyway, but I'm getting used to that now;))
