That freak accident happened in the making of this programme which is dedicated to Allen's memory and includes many shots of knights on horseback jousting and parading. The story itself involves a great lover of tournaments Kind Edward III, who in 1344 set up an order of 300 Knights of the Round Table as a piece of myth making to try to recapture Arthurian traditions. The huge, circular building he created for them lay buried for hundreds of years until Time Team discovered remnants of it at Windsor Castle in 2006. Here Tony Robinson explores the history of a chivalric order that soon gave way to a more select institution - the Knights of the Garter. [/FONT]
