See more birds, have more fun!
Welcome to BirdBuzz!

I want to extend a warm welcome to all members of the BirdBuzz community (hosted by Bird Watcher's Digest) who have migrated to our new home here in the friendly confines of BirdForum.net.

Diane Hamilton (BirdBuzz hostess extraordinaire) and I have been working for the past several weeks with Steve (of BirdForum) to make this online community transition. We think you'll find BirdForum to be appealing in a variety of ways. BirdForum is a larger, more active community of online birders, its interface is very user-friendly, and it's truly international in scope.

I look forward to continuing our discussions from BirdBuzz here in our new home. Please feel free to contact me or Diane with any questions you might have.

We owe Steve and all at BirdForum a special thank you for inviting us to share their "space" and for making us feel so welcome. Once you've gotten familiar with the BirdBuzz subforum here, we encourage you to visit the other topics (there are hundreds!) around BirdForum. Having poked around a bit myself, it's really reinforced my belief that bird watchers are just such darn nice folks!

Wishing you good bird watching!

Welcome all BirdBuzzers - or should I be proper and say - welcome to all members of the BirdBuzz community?

I'm sure you will enjoy your new home. :flowers: B :)

And another warm welcome from "this side of the pond". Hope you enjoy your new location here and we look forward to seeing you on the other forums as well.

And on behalf of the rest of the Moderators and Admin here at Bird Forum, a huge and very warm welcome to you all.

Welcome all members of the Birdbuzz community, I see that the forum is hosted by Birdwatchers Digest, do you have a link for this magazine ?

If Bill has posted a welcome message, I guess that means that we are here officially and can start posting.
I've been a member of Birdforum for about a month and it seems like a great spot for birders to hang out.
Great to be here!

Hi Steve (and thanks for the warm welcome!)

Yes, we'd like the much-simplified list of subforums created. We'll see if we need to bring posts over from BirdBuzz's original home.

In the meantime, we've sent out our "We've Moved!" notice to all registered users of BirdBuzz, so traffic here should pick up in the next few days.

Thanks too, to the BirdForum users who have posted welcome messages. It's nice to be landing in such friendly environs!

All best,

Bill

Hi Diane and welcome! I see you are from one of the best birding areas on the east coast. Lucky, lucky you. I'm gonna have to make it up there one of these years during migration.

Yes, K C - During the hawk migration I often think I am in heaven. I'm relatively new to birding - a few years now - and there is always so much more to learn and see here.

Let me know if you head up this way.

Will do Diane. Actually I'm in NYC quite frequently but just never ever get around to getting to NJ.

Nice to be here!

Thanks, Bill, for pointing me to this place.

By the way, I'm still enjoying those squirrel-proof feeders I was able to keep after our testing last spring. And the birds continue to enjoy them as well! (Now my squirrels eat the seeds that fall to the ground under the feeders.)

Hello everyone...welcome to Bird Forum. Hope you all settle in and get posting!!!

Only one teensy problem....with so many new members all, no doubt, posting lots of new topics and threads, I won't be able to keep up!!!!!! LOL
Now how do I break it gently to my hubby that I've got to quit work so I can keep on top of everything???

Hello to everyone from sunny southern california or Los Angeles if you prefer. Nancy, how did your cabin make it through the fire? Hopefully it is still standing. Hopefully with time I can figure out this forum and post the birds seen here locally and share some pictures also!

Warning! This thread is more than 19 years ago old.
It's likely that no further discussion is required, in which case we recommend starting a new thread. If however you feel your response is required you can still do so.
