I took a stroll down by a river and came across what I originally thought was an egg, picked it up an a leaf and it was rock solid. There were two pieces in total but each with a curved edge so seems hard to think of it as a whole. Is it an egg gone wrong? I’m not a bird expert in the slightest but can’t figure out what it is? Is it a dodgy layer? Or not an egg at all?

Thank you! That is something I had considered too. My father in law said it could be a dodgy egg, we live next door to a bird farm and often have different eggs etc over in our field, by the river. I geode would also make sense. Thank you for your reply!
