Would Swarovski agree to change the color of my armor (1 Viewer)

I got a pair of orange TA bino. Got them this color only because they were highly discounted. Armor is cracking and peeling off. I'm ready to send them in for armor replacement but I'd rather have the green armor than orange again. Do you think or have you hear anyone being able to convince Swaro to change the color of their armor?

Hello Binar,

first of all, Welcome on board... :)

I can't think of any reason why Swarovski shouldn't change the armor to green.
You would have to discuss this with customer service, but I can't imagine they would refuse this request.

Hi,

first of all, welcome to BF!

I can't think of a technical reason why they can't as the model seems to be available in both colors. If asked nicely, I could imagine that they will do this... but please keep us posted...

I definitely will...was just thinking because the SN links to an orange color, changing it might be a big no. I guess I'll have to ask and see , since it doesn't look anyone tried it before

All I can tell you is that some people have upgraded their green Zeiss Victory FL to the black armor.
I think the serial number refers to the model and the time of manufacture, whether the binoculars are orange or green is probably irrelevant.

For some context . . .

All four versions of the current EL Range x42 (the 8x42 and 10x42, and the two RA colours) are numbered in the same sequence.
However, they have different UPC and EAN numbers and corresponding bar codes, as shown on the box labels *

On the two 10x42 versions:

R) from a 2023 ebay listing by huntwy68

* UPC stands for Universal Product Code, and EAN stands for European Article Number (aka IAN - International AN).

Interesting that the orange armour is also susceptible to degradation.

Hi. I am wondering what was the response you received from Swarovski. Were you able to get your binoculars back with a new shining colour? I am also interested in doing it in another way; to make my green NL 10x32 orange 😁

Hehehe I have also suggested this to Swarovski for the other models. Hope it will materialise
