The ruby crown is difficult to see in the best of angles, and none of your photos show a good angle.

Yes, agree with Niels - although this could be a female, the red crown feathers can be very hard to see, so you can't be sure of the sex without a really good view.

I've had males in the hand that looked completely olive-crowned; but when the feathers were parted, they displayed a complete red crown, like a flame.
