I would hate to go to see very little. I dont want to travel all that way and see a small number. I can live without seeing continental migrants. My focus would be more British birds. The reason why I want to go Saturday is work wise I am free and then I have a very busy week ahead. Do you think I should just wait a week or two and then go? I need to decide by 9pm.

We were at Blacktoft on Sunday, John. We were told the Monty had been coming back to the reserve to roost each evening - we didn't see it during the day, nor a marsh harrier. Great views of water rail & greenshank were the highlight. Waders not in huge numbers.
