Zeiss SF (1 Viewer)

I am considering these binoculars. I read somewhere that Zeiss has recently upgraded these binoculars or fixed some of their previous problems. I tried finding some reference to this on the monster SF thread, but could not find any statements on this (I haven't read every post though).

Is there any truth to the statement that the SF's have been upgraded/fixed fairly recently?

Peter, Thanks! That was very helpful. It looks like some changes were made to the eyecup, QC, and focal system, as well as they are now black. So no changes were made in the glass or coatings. Sometimes these companies change their coatings and don't make any statements to the public when they do.

I think you meant 'focus system' not 'focal system'. Just correcting that for the benefit of future readers of this thread.

There were no changes to the coatings for the black SF.
