The new pigeon, described below, is named in honor of Miss Margaret Conover, sister of the late Boardman Conover, whose outstanding collection of game birds provided much of the comparative material used in the present study.

The Eponym Dictionary of Birds claims:
White-throated Quail Dove ssp. Geotrygon frenata margaritae E. R. Blake, G. Hoy & Contino, 1961
Margaret Boardman Conover (b.1888) was the sister of Henry Boardman Conover (q.v.).

The Key to Scientific Names
Margaret Boardman Conover (b. 1888) sister of US ornithologist Henry Boardman Conover (subsp. Zentrygon frenata).

If here correct b.1 Sep 1888 Chicago, Cook, Illinois, United States. Confirmed by here. But when did she die? It could be May 1973 here

She died in May 1973, at the age of 84, and was buried in Chicago, Cook, Illinois, United States.
