Identification
Distribution
Central America: found in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
Taxonomy
Subspecies[1]
There are 2 subspecies:
- D. l. leucophrys:
- D. l. hypospodius:
- Mountains of northern Costa Rica
An additional subspecies nicaraguae is generally considered invalid[2].
Habitat
Moist montanes.
